Administrative Assistant needed for maritime vessel construction company


Pay: $18.00 - $18.25 / hour


Location: Industrial District area of Seattle


Contract Length: 6 months


If you often take Washington State ferries around the Puget Sound, you may soon find yourself on one of the three currently being built by our client. In addition to building ferries, our client also builds and repairs fishing boats, tug boats, barges, fireboats, and high performance combat crafts.  Located in Harbor Island, our clients are the experts when it comes to boats, and take value in producing quality vessels on time and on budget. Most importantly though, our client puts a large focus on safety – the safety of their employees, their products, and the consumers that use them.

This Administrative Assistant would be the right-hand to our client’s main Executive Assistant.



  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Assistant, office staff, and department
  • Support conference room setup, order large lunch orders, set up furniture and prepare rooms for staff meetings
  • Coordinate and schedule travel (meals, transportation, hotels, etc.) and provide complex calendaring support using Outlook
  • Provide clerical assistance, which may include typing, copying, filing, and distributing departmental mail



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong administrative support experience required
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
  • Ability to understand and apply rules of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Ability to handle stress and accept changing priorities
