Senior Human Resources Generalist needed for a real estate investment firm in Seattle, WA

Our client is looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist to support their team. The Sr. HR Generalist will apply business knowledge and functional expertise to provide a broad range of advice and support for various client groups within the business. The client group includes corporate and investment management functions across five offices in the US.
The Sr. HR Generalist will help to build the capability and success of the organization by providing guidance to the clients groups on performance management, employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, terminations, benefits administration, HR programs and best practices, while developing and maintaining positive working relationships with managers.
Work in partnership with the business leadership independently to provide advice, recommendations and resolutions to ensure proactive support, guidance and high quality service on all day to day employee relations matters while ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations with support on more complex matters
Support the development and delivery of HR strategy providing clear communication, implementation and measurement of key people initiatives/programs to support a high performance culture
Help manage sensitive workplace issues and conflicts, including performance issues, terminations, and disability leave matters; lead or participate on fact finding investigations
Provide proactive full-cycle recruiting support by anticipating managers’ hiring needs, refreshing job descriptions, sourcing candidates, partnering with employment agencies when required, interviewing and negotiating offer packages in an accurate and timely manner
Act as a business partner with hiring managers to find appropriate applicants by advising, coaching and determining applicable competencies for the position to facilitate effective candidate matches
Manage the annual benefits open enrollment process
Prepare termination letters, provide severance determinations independently and participate in termination meetings
Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
Prepare and analyze people metrics to assist business to drive human resources initiatives
5+ years of progressive experience in HR, in a service-oriented or financial services industry, supporting a business with dispersed locations, with an emphasis on performance management, employee relations, and talent acquisition
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field
PHR/SHRM-CP designation is preferred
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act
Bias for action while demonstrating tact, diplomacy and discretion
Proven ability to work with and support a geographically distributed employee population as well as ability to collaborate across time zones
Effective oral and written communication
Willingness to adapt and learn within a dynamic environment that is ever-changing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
