Our client is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to the President and Board for one of Seattle’s iconic family businesses.

You will be entering a strong corporate culture that rarely hires from outside the company in the top leadership and believes in the Built to Last philosophy. All of our operations management team were promoted from within and many of our executives have worked for us their entire adult lives.

In this role, you will be instrumental to growing their business and preserving and enhancing their strong brand in the community.

 

Qualifications:

  • Fast learner with experience working with little to no guidance, using sound judgment in a fast paced, goal oriented, small business environment. 
  • You will have strong prioritization abilities to juggle a lot of balls and create systems to support a growing team. 
  • The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented planner with the demonstrated ability to communicate in-person, by phone and in writing and respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility, a sense of humor, and ability to think ahead.
  • You will support the President prepare for multiple meetings, both internally and externally with agendas, materials and presentations, as well as monitor and report on ongoing projects.  
  • You will need to be experienced using digital filing, scheduling, project management, word processing and presentation software.
  • You will serve as a confidential advisor to the President and the Board Chair assisting with preparing and disseminating board materials as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of equivalent personal administrative experience
  • 4 years progressively complex administrative work supporting a Vice President
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis in Excel) and Google Suite
  • Proficient in Smartsheet or other project management software
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and have experience in event and project coordination
  • Able to professionally triage and troubleshoot while using independent judgment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and meet goals in a timely manner
  • Experience scheduling among multiple leadership team members
  • Comfortable with social media
  • Comfortable attending trade and other community meetings when the President cannot attend
  • Experience working for or participation in a family business is a plus
