Assistant Portfolio Manager needed for property management company

The Assistant Portfolio Manager handles the administrative side of portfolio management, and coordinates between department managers, tenants, and potential new residents.




  • Assist Portfolio Operations Director with administrative and communication initiatives to optimize all facets of the property management process
  • Support the team and assist in achieving the portfolio team goals and objectives
  • Process applications while ensuring a quick turnaround time
  • Review leases for document accuracy and confirmation of crucial details
  • Expedite eviction notice paperwork and prepare communication notices, i.e.: Delinquent, HOA, Notice to Vacate
  • Maintain all accounts receivable, including posting rent payments to ledgers and maintaining balanced, accurate rent roll
  • Take incoming calls from current and prospective residents, assist in expediting resident escalated issues, assist in calls to residents and see the issue through to proper resolution



  • 2-5 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Property management or real estate experience preferred
  • Excellent grammatical and proofreading skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills required
  • Must display strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write routine reports and correspondence is essential
